I WANT TO BE SOMEBODY NOT ONE OF EVERYBODY

For a while now... i have recognized growth in my reasoning... an underlying sense of maturity in decisions i make... turning 21 has put my life in perspective and i realize that i want more outta life...

i want to be somebody....
its really been bothering me.. i dont think i would like d usual 9to5 boring job..i want to be creative..i want my own business..something to nurture, worry about..plan for, build from scratch and be proud of...
i want to be somebody not one of everybody...

but the underlying question is what do i do????

what are my talents... my gifts, my passion..something to build on, to build with...
that stuff that will make me soar...
i am not an excellent musician(although my voice is quite nice i dont think its good enough to do it)
i am not an excellent writer (although i write good enough at times)
i am not an excellent dancer (though i try)
i am not an exceptionally beautiful person..

but heres the catch i AM SMART... I KNOW I AM, I THINK ON MY FEET, AND I CAN ADAPT TO ANY SITUATION...

all my life i have wanted to be a computer eng.. but now that i am i dont know if thats want i want anymore...

getting my certifications and all, masters... so wat do i do after it all...
the IT world is so broad and complicated...and there are already so many successes there..is there space for me..do i have enough passion to succeed...?????

I AM SO CONFUSED.....

Dont be confused hun. We all get to that point, were we have to make big decisions concerning life paths and they can be very worrisome. I suggest you dig deeper and find exactly what makes you happy. And trust me everything should be smooth sailing from there.
xx!

Let me tell something I just found out myself. As you get older, your needs and wants change. Go with the flow, you'll figure it out eventually. Dont over plan your life. God will have a good laugh over that. Just make short term goals (6 months) and long term goals (two years) and leave the rest.

No need to be stressed over it, things will come to you when you believe it. You're already a computer engineer, work on that first but have a mindset of self development. Like take classes to polish up your programming skills, writing, etc. All the best.

I am with Myne on this. Start with where you are at now and go from there. Not staying stagnant is key. All the best!

I think the 1st and most important thing is that you've taken a stand to "be somebody" and not just a statistic...

Next, you really tried evaluating yourself...

And finally, the world's your oyster, just choose your pick and stick with it...
